First Snow Fall this winter 2009

************************
And what fun Jonathan and Adam had during the first snow fall today. They loved sled riding right in the front yard and making snow balls. At the end, both boys got a plastic cup, filled with white snow and ate it.

Also the First Christmas gift comes from Jennifer. What an awesome one too. A Giganic Piano mat. Jonathan and Adam played with it for hours, day after day. The best thing is that they can play on it at the same time together. Thank you so much for thinking of them Jen and sending so early. You really made happy....and miss you even more.

Fall and Halloween time....

2009 Halloween. Jonathan is Superman, Adam is Elmo, and our sweet neighbor Elizabeth is a leopard. Jonathan and Adam had more fun passing out candy in our driveway to all the trick or treaters. It's such a fun time in our neighborhood to see all the kids dress up.
Fall time is such a beautiful time of the year. The weather is cool and the leaves changing can be such a joy to see. Jonathan and Adam got to enjoy a beautiful fall day at a nearby park. We played soccer and kicked around in the leaves. Adam follows big brother around and watches every move. They have so much fun together, it'll be a joy for us to see the boys grow up together. They will be best friends forever.

It's been a while since I blogged and that is because we've been busy. Where did the summer go? We had fun visiting Hershey Park quite a bit, so we purchased season passes again for next summer. We made it to Lancaster's Dutch Wonderland the other weekend, I unfortunately forgot the camara and didn't think of getting a disposable one, so no pictures to show off but I must admit, that amusement park was by far the best for Jonathan and Adam. They loved every bit of it.
I have great news to report, Jonathan has been dry for the last 3 nights in a row. Potty training is finally going very well for us now. Adam is catching on pretty quickly watching his big brother go potty and every once in a while, he'll grab the portable potty and pretend like he is pee'ing in it. And he just gets a kick out of pee'ing in the tub. Jonathan is in a 10-week program at U-gro with Soccer shots. He loves it. Today, he had his class of Kinder-gym for a free class and he seemed to enjoy it as well from what we hear from him.
Halloween is soon here, Adam and Jonathan have their costumes, so stay tuned to see what they will be. Until then, many blessings to our family and friends.

Summer Time....

Where did the summer go? I'm so sad that summer is coming to an end. But we had such a great time. Our friend Jennifer from Titusville came to visit for a long weekend. Jonathan and Adam were totally spoiled, that's for sure. And a nice treat coming in October is "Aunt Jen" is coming back to visit for a night. They can't wait!...and neither can I because I miss her. Jen has been my friend since I was 3 years old.
Just this past weekend, we went to see the sea lion show in Hershey. It was a really cute show. Jonathan was so into it, he watched every little detail and followed the story very well. Adam was very interested as well and really loved seeing the sea lions dive into the water. We'll definiately see this again before the park closes for the season.
A new ride called "The Frogger" was a big hit for us. It tickled your stomach like when you drive fast up and down a hill in a car.
Adam is Mr. Independent. He loves to ride without having mommy and daddy hold him. Adam and big brother Jonathan enjoyed this ride in a helicopter....Jonathan loves to see his brother having fun. He laughed the entire time.Elizabeth is our 10 year old neighbor and "babysitter"...they 3 of them having fun with their horns they got from the Elizabethtown fair
Monday, August 31st was Jonathan's 1st day of pre-school at U-gro with Miss Lindsay. My boys are growing up so quickly. Time is so precious and goes so quickly. I feel so blessed. Jonathan and Adam keeps me happy and moving all the time and it's worth every moment.

Jonathan's 3rd Birthday

Here's the birthday boy Jonathan....3 years old on August 12, 2009. Jonathan is such the character, so sweet and full of energy. He just absorbs everything we do and say. We had our family over to celebrate his fun -filled day Friday evening. It's all about Jonathan this weekend...This years theme is Spider Man. Even though Jonathan has never seen Spider Man on TV, he loves him. We took spider man cupcakes to school to share with friends and then for the family birthday party, we had this one made which you can see put a big smile on Jonathan's face. The spider man faces and spiders were plastic rings. We got so lucky with have the ice cream truck drive through the neighborhood so everyone gathered around and pappy treated us to an ice cold popicle...Jonthan got his spider man one like he always does. Grandma, Cousin Teagan, Adam and Jonathan sitting on the front porch enjoying theirs very quickly!!!

These were party favors full of cookies we gave to each family thanking them for coming.

Jonathan did so well with going to the potty this weekend. He's almost potty trained for sure. Every time we put on his big boy pants, he did not wet them. Happy Birthday sweet boy Jonathan....you are the big "3" this year. Mommy and Daddy love you very much and get so excited when you learn something new everyday. Jonathan is such a good brother to Adam - playing together gets easier every day. The two boys will be best friends for life.

The BEACH.....

....the Hershey Park Boardwalk that is.....here we are heading to Hershey Park again for a few hours. That's the best thing about having season passes, we come and go as we want and not have to worry about spending the entire day there to get our money's worth. We are so lucky to live so close to the amusement park. Adam and Jonathan are at such a fun age, they really do enjoy it.Jonathan and Adam loved the boardwalk. The water was alittle cold, but it didn't matter. The beach without the messy sand - now that's fun! The boardwalk is for all ages. As the boys get older, they can enjoy the water slides. For now, they couldn't get enough of the water splashing up from the ground. They laughed and played, that's what mommy and daddy enjoy the most.

Adam's 1st Birthday...............

Here we are celebrating Adam's 1st Birthday on June 26, 2009. Where did the year go, seriously, time flew by. My little baby is now a toddler. We had a group of friends come over in the morning to eat cake, other munchies and swim in the pool. Everyone had such a fun time splashing around and playing with the balloons all throughout the house. That was the theme of Adam's 1st birthday since he LOVES balloons.

Adam and Jonathan got their first pick of balloons before everyone arriving in the morning.....as you can see, still in PJs.

Cant forget the #1 balloon..............in the end, mommy accidently let go of it and it went far away in the sky :(

Happy Birthday sweet Adam! You are truly a blessing to us and we love you.

Father's Day Weekend

Yes, it's Father's Day weekend. Daddy has to hold both boys at the same time all the time lately. Now that Adam's getting more mobile, he wants to run around and ride bikes with daddy and Jonathan outside. Double the fun and double the hugs and kisses.

Lorisa's dog Chloe stayed the weekend too. Jonathan gets practice of taking a dog out to pee and to feed him ..... maybe someday we will get a dog of our own.
Lorisa had said that she likes when her two older sisters are not around because then she is the oldest child around and loves being in charge of Jonathan and Adam. Grandma and Papa stayed the weekend as well. My sister and her family; my brother and his family, Grandmad and Papa and our family all went to Hershey Park for Father's day. Daddy was treated with a crab feast on Saturday....yum, it's such a treat to break apart steamed crabs.

Jonathan just can't get enough of his cousin Lorisa who he loves so much. I just love this picture!

This picture was taken last weekend when we got together with Jonathan and Adams group of friends for our 3rd annual picnic at Creekview park. (This picture only shows half the kids). We try to get together as often as possible, but annually, we get the entire family together so that the dad's get time to mingle as well. We had so much fun and the rain held off for us.

Gardening......

Text Color

.............................Here we are helping Grandma clean the lettuce we picked from her garden. Big...big buckets full of green leafy lettuce. And the boys love to eat it too. Jonathan had alittle bit of too much fun with the hose, and that is why he is wearing no pants in the photo. Adam just wanted to dive into the bucket full of water and lettuce. It was so much fun watching the kids help Grandma at her house.

I must admit that I just love to dress Jonathan and Adam alike or at least in the same colors. Here we are at church and I was so proud of them this past Sunday for being in the nursery by themselves for most of the hour. When I say by themselves, I mean without their mom or dad. Usually Jim or I have to be in there with them, but Jim served communion and I was determined to do my best to enjoy the sermon while the boys tried to have fun in the nursery and they did it. Jonathan actually said, I want to do it again with Adam so we'll see if this is the beginning of being able to drop them off for the hour.

Day at the park with Grandma.

Longs Park in Lancaster is truly the best park in the area. Jonathan and Adam had so much fun feeding the ducks, playing in the playground and taking a stroller walk. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. We even saw a frog. Towards the end Adam fell asleep......sweet little boy!

Weekend Fun!

We got the pools out for Jonathan and Adam for the first time this summer. Oh my...what fun they had this weekend splashing and playing. We weren't sure how Adam would do in the bigger pool so we filled up the little one for him; we should have known he wanted to swim with his big brother Jonathan.

MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND....

It's Mother's Day weekend.....and to say the least, I had one of the best weekends. Friday, my mom and I got to spend hours together shopping while my dad watched Adam then we took my parents out to eat for dinner. Saturday, we spent time with Jim's parents and had lunch with them. That evening we took Jonathan and Adam to Hershey Park to ride a few rides and have dinner there - we had beautiful weather and so much fun. Sunday we enjoyed a good serman at church early in the morning; then the boys brought me a Mother's Day cake from the Pennsylvania Bakery....strawberry shortcake which is my favorite, we had it for breakfast and for dinner dessert; YUM! I also got a beautiful ring with Jim's, mine, Jonathan, and Adams birthstones (which matches a necklace I got last year). Being with family makes me so happy and oh, I can't forget the ice cream truck who drives through the neighborhood on Fridays....see for yourself our great neighbors waiting with us for a cool treat!

It's time to get the sunscreen out for the summer....

HOT weekend!

Having Grandma and Papa visit is truly one of the best times for Jonathan and Adam. They just can't get enough of them. Grandma cooked us a delicious Korean lunch and many treats for the boys....yummy! We had a pretty hot weekend. Now that the warmer weather is here, that means the ice cream truck comes by the neighborhood and we enjoy a cold treat. Jonathan went to "Touch a Truck" in Hampden Township .... see another great picture of him with a fireman's hat. Adam turned 10 months old on Sunday....he posed a pretty adorable picture for mommy in the backyard. We had a wonderful weekend!
