Ice Skating

sunday evening and here we are at the Hershey Bears hockey game. It's been a while since we went to game and so the boys were so excited! You can see Jim, Jonathan and Adam right against the glass watching the players very closely. And after the cotton candy, they were running the hallways of the arena with no fear....what a sugar rush. But believe it or not, they are both sound asleep in their own beds.

We are always able to find cocoa the bear.

Jonathan is taking 8 weeks of ice skaing lessons for the first time. He's enjoying it but he seems to want to end his lessons about a half an hour early so Adam gets to play around on the ice. His smile cant get any wider, loves to be on the ice. Can't wait for them both to be able to skate on their own. Until then, it's a good thing that Daddy is a natural skater since it's been too long since Mommy's been on ice skates....Rockefeller Center in New York City was the last time and it's been a good decade. Wow, time flies so quickly, doesn't it?

tomorrow, January 24th is Grandma's birthday. Taking the day off to spend a special birthday with her!

Tubing fun!

We took the boys to Ski Roundtop for some fun tubing. What a blast they had! Funny how the cold just doesn't bother you when you are having so much fun. Adam laughed the whole way down the hill every time and Jonathan loved bumping the sides while going down the hills. Pulling them back up the hill was a bit of a workout but so worth seeing the enjoyment as they went back down. Jonathan thought it was fun pulling up his tube so that helped quite a bit.

They had a warm fire right by the hills which was awesome to watch; love the smell of logs in a fire outdoors! We went into the cabin for some pizza, soft pretzel, and of course the boys saw candy right away. It was a nice little break then right back out to the tubing hills. We'll definiately go again this winter season!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011

There is so much joy in family time and it seems that no other Holiday brings than on Jesus' birthday: Christmas! We are SO lucky to have both sides of our families live so close because we can capture special memories and enjoy all the cousins. Here is Jonathan, Patrick, Adam, Lauren, Ashley, and Kate. Faces are: Ashlyn, Jonathan, Lorisa, Adam, and Kylee. With Rudolph is Teagan. We ended the year with a beautiful Christmas (even though no snow arrived). Jonathan had asked for Criss Cross Crash, and Adam asked Santa for The Princess and the Frog which they both got. But it seems the simpliest things like a rubber snow globe ball or an airplane lollipop brings on the biggest smiles and fun for the boys. And the best part is the innosence and believing in Santa Claus....awwwh, just love it and want it to last forever. To just BELIEVE warms my heart and brings on a magical feeling. The candle light service on Christmas eve was a nice family event. To celebrate the joy of Jesus' birth with the 12 days of Christmas, we follow:

1st day - December 25th - Putting the candle we received in a bag in a special place to remind us to let our light shine and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. 2nd day - December 26th - morning worship with a new grace: "Come, Lord Jesus, be our guest. All that you give to us, be blest." 3rd day - December 27th - Say "Merry 3rd Day of Christmas" to someone you meet today! 4th Day - December 28th - Read Philippians 4:4 With your family, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: rejoice!" 5th Day - December 29th - do something kind for someone today because you love them and Jesus loves them! 6th Day - December 30th - Call someone that lives far away and tell them how you are thinking of them. Don't forget to wish them a Merry 6th Day of Christmas! 7th Day - December 31st Joining in the fun of Hershey. 8th Day - Happy New Year! Give someone a glass of milk for the 8th day of Christmas - including a cookie would be nice! 9th Day - January 2nd - Morning worship, we joined in the Family Fusion at our First Church of Hershy with a potluck dinner followed by fun and exciting worship. 10th Day - January 3rd - Tell your teachers or boss Merry 10th Day of Christmas. 11th Day - January 4th - memorize the verse from the 4th Day! 12th Day - January 5th - Say a special prayer thanking God for sending Jesus!
