Grandma's Birthday celebration......

What a fun time....here we are celebrating my mom's birthday.
This was our highlight of the weekend.
How old is she? She looks and feels as old as I am. Love her to pieces!

Jonathan enjoyed putting the candles on her cake and helped grandma blow them out. Strawberry shortcake...hmmm I wonder who picked that one out (Wha's favorite).

Jim made one of her favorite meals which was prime rib. A new recipe and it turned out so delicious. Mom's exact words were: This is the best I have ever eaten. And she must have said it at least 5 times....yum yum! Dad told Jim he was in the wrong business, he should be a chef. I must agree....he does love to try out new recipes and it doesn't matter how challenging it is, he enjoys it. The prime rib took a total of 5 hours and we ate it in no time.
Jonathan and Adam played outside today for almost 2 hours with the neighbors. We have some of the best neighbors around.
Adam pee'd in the potty for the first time on Friday. It was quite exciting I must say....but has he been able to do it again since then? No but it's still very early yet.
Jonathan is becoming such a good helper around the house. He'll wipe Adam's nose when he needs it or get something when I ask for it. I just can not believe how quickly my boys are growing....where did my babies go? I'm constantly looking through all their baby clothes and toys trying to get myself to just give them away; instead I just buy more bins to store them in. No more babies for us in this family, but for some reason I'm having the worst time getting rid of them because they belonged to my Jonathan and Adam. Is this normal for a mommy?
I plan to do some serious Spring Cleaning in the next couple of months. With two friends expecting later this year, I'm hoping it's boys so I will gladly give away most of these filled bins.
Next months birthday is.....Jim's and do we have some plans scheduled....wait for the surprise!

SANTA CAME TO TOWN....

Yes, we must have been very good this Christmas because Santa did arrive with lots of goodies. Mommy was even very surprised when the 4-wheelers were all charged and ready to go. Nervous as ever wondering what was Santa thinking until I saw how much fun Jonathan and Adam had riding them in the basement and in the driveway. They knew exactly what they were doing, how?

And the drums were a big hit. I'd say that I need ear plugs but hearing Jonathan sing Christmas songs while playing drums melts my heart. Then he says, c'mon Adam - don't you know the words? Packages came two of everything similar or exactly alike. This was the best Christmas ever.....but actually I think they will get better as each year comes along.

Thank you Brenda for reminding me to update the family blog. This is the last for 2009. We are now starting 2010 so look for some more fun times. We went to see Elmo's Green Thumb at the Giant Center this evening. Ohhhhh, did the boys just love seeing the characters live! Here's two amazing pics. Love you Brenda and miss you ! Hugs!
